Our History

Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.”

Hebrews 13:7 (ESV)

Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church began in 2002 as a small Bible study meeting in the old offices of the Banner of Truth Trust on Louther Street in Carlisle. In May 2005, Redeemer officially became a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC). Redeemer was formed by a group of like-minded Christians who sought a church committed to the good news of salvation through grace alone, by faith alone, in Christ alone.

Redeemer continues to grow and thrive as a reformed Presbyterian congregation in the Cumberland Valley. We cherish Christ and his Gospel. By God’s grace, we have maintained a strong commitment to robust worship according to Scripture and the rich heritage of confessional Protestantism. We seek to worship and serve the triune God and proclaim the good news of eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Redeemer has worshipped at our present location at 101 Petersburg Road since 2011.

Redeemer is part of the OPC Presbytery of Central Pennsylvania.
